| | Final Fantasy VIII music | ] | I'm getting really annoyed with these Collins College commercials. The generic teenagers supposedly playing video games as 'homework', or making games with the use of an xbox controller ("I say he should move...THIS way.") I swear to god if they showed these commercials when I was debating to go back to school or not I wouldn't be out here. Don't get me wrong, the commercials were still retarded back then, but they at least didn't assume everyone was one big collective dumbass.
Then again, the student population rate for this game design degree has doubled since then...
*sigh*
Jeff won an ipod nano at work today and didn't waste any time rubbing it in my face. All good. I just have to remind him who bought him groceries while he was working at the video store a couple monthes again. That retort never gets old. :) |

Sometimes it seems like the entire incoming wave of students fresh out of high school IS one big collective dumbass. (I work at a community college.)
Can't disagree with that.
By the way, how'd that one student you had to given a time extension do? Did he fail like you expected?
He did manage to scrape by, but I'm sure he didn't do as well as he expected. During that week he informed me that he just didn't understand his difficulties; while he was getting his learning disability confirmed, his IQ was tested and it came out "well into the 160's".
Nothing is more obnoxious than someone trying to brag about how smart they are!
I absolutley hate those commercials!!! If only people did their research they would find that it's much more difficult and work like than those stinking commercials.
The bad thing about it is the school has to pay a third party to do their commercials instead of letting the students in the media arts program. Mostly because the students would just commercialize all the things wrong with this school.
I know I would. :) | |
